1. About this service

RIP DayZ ("the community", "we") operates a community platform for our Xbox DayZ server. The platform includes the RIP website and player portal, the Brian Discord bot, gamertag linking, player statistics and leaderboards, factions, a virtual economy, tickets, and Discord feed notifications driven by DayZ server logs.

By using the website, the Discord bot, or by linking a gamertag, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Account and gamertag linking

You sign in and interact through your Discord account. You may link one or more Xbox gamertags (GameIdentity records) to your account so that in-game activity is attributed to you.

  • You must only link gamertags that belong to you.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your linked accounts.
  • Linking someone else's gamertag, or attempting to claim another player's identity or statistics, is a violation of these terms and may result in removal of the link, loss of progress, and suspension or bans.
  • You may unlink gamertags at any time through the available commands or settings.

3. Community and server rules

Use of the platform is subject to the RIP community rules and the rules of the DayZ server(s) you play on. Staff may moderate, suspend or ban accounts for rule violations — including cheating, exploiting, harassment, abusive conduct, or behaviour that harms the community — with or without prior warning where the situation requires it.

Moderation decisions, including suspensions and bans, are recorded for audit purposes. Staff decisions are final within the community, but you may appeal through the ticket system where one is offered.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • abuse, exploit or automate the platform, the bot, or the economy;
  • manipulate statistics, leaderboards, achievements or progression;
  • farm kills, damage, currency or rewards through collusion or alt abuse;
  • submit false identity claims, false reports or fraudulent tickets;
  • interfere with the service, its data, or other players' access;
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

5. Virtual economy

The platform provides a virtual currency (RIP Coin) and related systems — wallets, transfers, faction banks, traders and lottery features where enabled.

  • Virtual currency and balances are game-community data only. They have no real-world monetary value, are not purchasable for cash, are not redeemable for money, and are not transferable outside the platform.
  • We may adjust, suspend or reset economy features for balance, integrity, or technical reasons, including after abuse or exploits.
  • Nothing in the economy constitutes a financial product, gambling service, or contractual entitlement.

6. Factions, achievements and leaderboards

Faction membership, territory features, achievements, progression, seasons and leaderboards are community features derived from gameplay events. They are provided as-is for entertainment; standings and rankings reflect recorded game activity and the community's rules, not any external measure.

7. Tickets and support

The ticket system exists to provide support and handle community matters. Ticket contents may be transcribed and retained for moderation and audit purposes. Abuse of the ticket system (spam, false claims, harassment of staff) may result in loss of access to it.

8. Discord bot

The Brian bot provides commands, feeds and ticketing inside the community Discord server. Use of the bot is subject to these terms, the community rules, and Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

9. Service availability and changes

The service is provided on a best-effort, community-run basis. We do not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted stat recording, or that every gameplay event will be captured. Gameplay log ingestion depends on third-party hosting (Nitrado) and may lag, pause, or be unavailable — events are processed when logs become available, and may appear after a delay.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features — including economy, achievements, feeds, or the season — at any time. Where practical, significant changes are announced in the community Discord.

10. Termination

We may suspend or remove your access to the platform, your linked identities, faction standing, or balances if you breach these terms, the community rules, or for operational reasons. You may stop using the service at any time and may request removal of your account links.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. RIP DayZ is a community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Bohemia Interactive, Microsoft/Xbox, Nitrado, or Discord.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, virtual currency, progress, rankings, or access arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be raised through the community Discord — via a support ticket or by contacting a member of the staff team.
